Stop being afraid! Abstra-Cat is a 'Scaredy Cat', afraid of change and anything out of his comfort zone. I think we are all a bit 'Scaredy Cat'. The unknown is unwelcome, and change is constant. Let us embrace our future with faith, growth, and determination. We can not predict the future, so live fearless!

This Abstra-Cat is all about alert and attentive 'Cat Eyes'. Did you know Abstra-Cats can see as well as humans can, and at times better? Abstra-Cats have an elliptical pupil which opens and closes much faster than round types as in humans. An elliptical pupil also provides for a larger pupil size which allows more light to enter the eye. Abstra-Cat's keen vision is designed for detecting motion used for hunting it's prey.

Watch out! You could be hacked by Abstra-Cat! The screen glow says it all don't you think? The painting's overall value is dark giving the viewer a secretive feel for 'Hacker Cat'.

Cat Lady

'Cat Lady' is a spinster who lives secluded from society with her hundreds of Abstra-Cats. She spends more on them than herself. She is forced to use all of her social security money to buy cat food and milk. She talks about her felines as if they're children and names every single one with funny names. 'Cat Lady' possesses the uncanny ability to recognize which Abstra-Cat is which no matter how similar they may look to one another.

This simplistic painting uses repetition of curvilinear shapes and repeating color.

We all want to throw a shoe at Tom Cat roaming and serenading in the middle of the night. He is prone to fighting over his territory and female cats in heat. Did you know the word Tom Cat was influenced by Tom the Cat in the popular children's book "The Life and Adventures of a Cat" written in 1760?

Abstra-Cat is called 'Atomic Cat'. He is mightier, more muscular than Tom Cat, with a thicker neck and humongous head. His thick face is often referred to as "shields" or "stud jowls".

This painting uses a variety of basic elements. I especially love the way the painting moves your eyes from the face, to the legs, to the tail, to the moon and then back to the face. A very active 'Atomic' Abstra-Cat!

Did you know calico cats are female? It is true. I have had several and they all ended up having kittens! They are regarded as lucky charms and omen of good luck along with good fortune to the family home which keeps them. I never want to be without 'Calico Cat' especially this Abstra-Cat!

This painting has more soft edges than hard edges. It seems to merge the shapes together.

Hot flashes, night sweats, sleep difficulties, increased anxiety and irritability. This sounds like Abstra-Cat is in a state of change. 'Mental Paws' is not for the faint of heart it takes real feminine feline power to keep it together!

I found 9 interesting facts about Abstra-Cat's paws totally unrelated to 'Mental Paws'.
1. Cat's have dominate paws.
2. Cat's walk tiptoed.
3. Paws are sensitive.
4. Paws are flexible.
5. Paws act as shock absorbers.
6. Cats use paws for grooming. (Thank you 'Tidy Cat'!)
7. Paws sweat.
8. Cat's use paws to communicate.
9. Paw colors may very.

Abstra-Cat is wealthy, powerful and influential. No wonder he is sometimes called 'Fat Cat'. This is a Maine Coon. They are among the largest domesticated breeds of cats. The nickname gentle giant describes its large bone structure, rectangular body shape, a silky flowing coat and a long bushy tail.
Texture is another element of design referring to the surface quality of the painting either real or simulated.

The eternal struggle between hunter and prey! Abstra-Cat is patiently waiting for the opportune moment. Did you know a well-fed Abstra-Cat will hunt for entertainment and catch more prey than a hungry Abstra-Cat?

Look for the inferred triangle. This painting is all about shapes and whiskers. Can you imagine Abstra-Cat by seeing only two smaller shapes? I love the expression on mouse's face of fear and surprise!
