Picture
studio study, oil, 6x6, 'Atomic Cat'
We all want to throw a shoe at Tom Cat roaming and serenading in the middle of the night. He is prone to fighting over his territory and female cats in heat. Did you know the word Tom Cat was influenced by Tom the Cat in the popular children's book "The Life and Adventures of a Cat" written in 1760?

Abstra-Cat is called 'Atomic Cat'. He is mightier, more muscular than Tom Cat, with a thicker neck and humongous head. His thick face is often referred to as "shields" or "stud jowls".

This painting uses a variety of basic elements. I especially love the way the painting moves your eyes from the face, to the legs, to the tail, to the moon and then back to the face. A very active 'Atomic' Abstra-Cat!
