Do not fear using a color wheel! In this painting I used a split complementary color scheme by using orange, blue violet, and blue green. I deliberately kept the colors intense to experiment with Abstra-Cat. I added some yellow to the blue green as it seemed to need a little warmth and a touch of blue. The results were amazing, thus 'Chameleon Cat'. I may try a studio landscape using this same color scheme.

I love the colors, and you really captured the indignant cat stare.

These are great colors for a cat stare. A landscape with those colors would be interesting, too!
